[Fuel 10] Life Is Not Always Light, Happy Fruit & Panda Bears
In Today’s Fuel…
POINT #1: Seeing Only Half of the Story
- Social media allows us to create our own reality.
- The image that we want the world to see and what others depict is only a part of the whole.
POINT #2: Realize There’s More
- Fundamental issues are created until we realize the fact that we don’t see the rest of the story on social media.
- Don’t get fixated on the image, but seek out the whole.
POINT #3: Stop Comparing Pits to Highlights
- Don’t compare your worst days to someone else’s best based off of their highlight reel.
- The only comparison to be made is between yourself, and weighing the good days with other good days, the bad ones with the bad ones.
QUESTION OF THE DAY:
- What can you do to stop comparing your pit to someone else’s peak?
CHALLENGE OF THE DAY:
- Write down what you can do to stop comparing your pit with someone else’s peak. What can you do today to start acknowledging one aspect of you to experience the fullness and wholeness of the truth it takes to be all of who you are, both the dark and the light?
QUOTE OF THE DAY:
“I had to show all of my darkness and all of my light. Consider that you’re killing yourself because you’re only seeing half the story. This is defined as the sin of omission. You’re not seeing all the shit and pain to get to the peak of power that they are in. You don’t see the journey and the long nights and that part of the story. How do you become OK to have both the darkness and the light?” — Garrett J White
