Reaping the Fruit of Labor: Achieved & Done.
In our world today, there’s no shortage of trackers. From counting your steps to monitoring your sleep or the calories you burn, we’ve become obsessed with tracking. However, amid this sea of numbers and analytics, the Door stands out as the ultimate measure of one’s focus and productivity. It’s unerring and transparent, revealing our genuine commitment to our goals.
From Potential to Profit.
Our journey through the Door system began with Potential, where we identified our Hot List, the spark of our ambitions. We then proceeded to Plan, the stage where we integrated the Door and the War Stack, setting the direction for our endeavors. Our energies were funneled into Production, manifested in our Hit List. And now, we find ourselves at the threshold of Profit – the ‘Achieved and Done’ stage.
Measuring the Week’s Yield.
As the week winds to a close, it’s time to assess the yield of our hard work. Before us lays the Hit List, those items now checked off, telling tales of targets hit and projects completed.
- Did we manage to open the Door?
- Were we successful in hitting all 20 targets on our Hit List?
Our tally will reveal the truth, measured against the perfect score of 21, the coveted Warrior Black Jack.
The Dual Lists: Achieved & Done
While the Hit List morphs into our Achieved List, representing our significant tasks, the smaller, everyday tasks, the ‘sand’ if you recall, culminate in the Done List. Having anywhere between 15 to 100+ functions on this list is possible weekly, marking our daily progress and chores.
So, at the end of every week, our scoreboard will look something like:
Achieved: ___/21 (HITS + DOOR)
Done: _____ total tasks
This scoreboard is a reflective mirror, reflecting how efficiently we’ve managed our time, helping us adapt and recalibrate for future productivity.
Final Reflections on the Fruit.
The culmination of the Door system is less about the score and more about understanding one’s rhythm of work. Observing the week’s yield – the ‘fruit’ – provides a moment of reckoning. Some might find the results invigorating, a testament to their hard work. For others, it might serve as a reminder of missed opportunities.
However, regardless of the outcome, one principle stands unwavering: Winners believe in keeping score. They relish in the tangibility of progress and growth. Conversely, those unwilling to face the results often shy away from such accountability, preferring ambiguity over clarity.
But always remember, the power of the Door system lies in its unbiased reflection of our endeavors. It’s not just about counting what we’ve done but understanding the worth of what’s been accomplished.
